Patalsu Peak Trek is a five days long trek, and will take you to a maximum height of 13451 feet above sea level at the summit of Mount Patalsu. Look for the trek dates and reach the town of Manali a day before the hike begins.
Patalsu Peak trekking begins from the old bridge on the day following your arrival in the town. You first travel up to the famous Solang Valley, which becomes a buzzing ski resort in the winter season. After camping at night on the banks of the Beas River, you resume your Patalsu Peak trekking tour, and meander through the mountains to the meadow of Shagadugh. In the roughly 7 hours, for which you will keep on the trails the next day, you will scale Patalsu Peak and return to Shagadugh. You will then trek down to the Solang Valley and board a vehicle to Manali.
Day 01: Arrival in Manali
Upon arrival in Manali, transfer to your pre-arranged lodging and get rest. The pretty hilly town of Manali has an altitude of around 6730 feet, and it is a popular summer as well as winter destination. Deodar forests on the hills, the Beas River flowing through the town, and snow-clad mountains in the distance give it a mesmerising look. The region experiences cool and pleasant weather conditions for most part of the year.
Do not just be snoozing away all day, and step out to explore the town. Hadimba Devi Temple, which lies amidst a dense forest, is the biggest attraction near the town. For a relaxing experience, venture to the nearby Vashishta village, and take a dip in the therapeutic waters of its natural sulphur hot springs. Later, return to your lodging and stay overnight.
